E.ON Selects Asset Analytics from Space-Time Insight
Risk-based asset investment planning drives capital efficiency
San Mateo, Calif., November 25, 2016 – Space‐Time Insight, the leading provider of visual analytics solutions for asset intensive industries, today announced that E.ON has adopted the company’s asset analytics to enhance data-driven decisions for electric grid operations and planning. The solution gives E.ON risk-based insights into asset investment planning and operations in the Czech Republic.
E.ON is one of the world’s largest energy companies, with operations in more than 30 countries serving more than 33 million customers.
Asset analytics from Space-Time Insight provide E.ON central asset managers with insight to support financial and operations planning based on the condition and criticality of assets. Asset criticality is measured through multiple risk factors and analysed consistently across all implemented assets and asset classes. In addition, asset analytics prioritises the maintenance of assets based on their number of faults, the costs to remedy faults and the overall maintenance cost of assets.
“Asset analytics from Space-Time Insight allows us to address our highest risk asset first,” said Petr Lang, Project Manager at E.ON. “This helps us to manage and extend the useful life of the bulk of aging infrastructure that is affecting the entire utility industry.”
“E.ON is taking the lead in optimising tight capital and operational budgets,” said Neil Barry, Senior Director for EMEA at Space-Time Insight. “Analytics ensures that E.ON budgets support the highest possible level of safe, reliable and affordable service to customers.”
E.ON and Space-Time Insight will be telling this story in a webinar on 30 November 2016. Click here to register for the webinar.
